ABOUT US

CUCC is a Welcoming Community of Spiritual Seekers, with an ever-evolving progressive view of the Holy, that is actively engaged in building a world with justice for all creation.

Our Story

CUCC began in the Table Mesa neighborhood while the area was being developed in the 1960s. The church originally spun off from the big UCC congregation in downtown Boulder and was envisioned as the local south-Boulder neighborhood progressive UCC church.

From the beginning, CUCC has been very involved in social action activities such as protesting nuclear development at Rocky Flats, participating yearly in the CROP Hunger Walk, and, most recently, hosting a Guns to Gardens gun surrender event. In addition, the focus of CUCC is supporting one another, living out the value of protecting the earth, and providing a beautiful and meditative setting right next to Bear Creek.

Who We Are

The United Church of Christ is a non-doctrinal denomination. We seek to support each other’s spiritual paths.

Peace with Justice Church

It is the calling of the church in every age and place to bear witness by word and deed to the biblical vision of shalom: the non-violent resolution of conflict and peace with justice.

UCC Statement of Faith
WHAT WE DO

We share a covenant, not a creed, and we take the Bible seriously, but not literally.

Earth Action

We love and care for everything in God’s evolving Creation.

Open & Affirming
OUR COMMUNITY

At CUCC we unwaveringly believe that God loves you just as you are and that God's love is why we are open and affirming!
